Since I'll be spending so much time in the van this year, I thought I'd check out some books on CD from the library. I need book suggestions please! What is your favorite book?
LOVED the Yada Yada Sisters series by Neta Jackson...I don't know if they library has it or not, I got it from my mom's church library. I do know you can download them on itunes though :)
Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World or Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Good luck picking one out, there are so many good choices above:) Blessings to you and yours
Three Little words, ashley Rhodes Courter: Boy called it is good too saw already commented for of course "Shack" and the same kind of different as me is really good!
Black, Red, and White by Ted Dekker (these are 3 seperate books.) Also, a 4th one, "Green", is about to come out in September. And what's really cool about this trilogy-about-to-be-quadrilogy is that Green completes the trilogy so that it is a full circle. You can read it "Green, Black, Red, White" or "Black, Red, White, Green" and it makes sense either way. :D
I like so many different books, it is hard to put down my favorites. Maybe you could do classic novels like Pride and Prejudice or the Narnia series. I love Harry Potter (and yes I am a christian and I love Harry Potter). The Time Traveler's Wife was good they just made it into a movie; but the book was really good.
Without question, Les Miserables is the best book ever written. Next, I'd go for Anna Karenina followed by A Tale of Two Cities. If you want to do some philosophical thinking, go with Walden. GREAT book. (Not "sound," but very interesting.) LibriVox is a great site with free downloads. Have you read the Iliad? Because EVERYONE should read that book. My kids enjoy listening to books on tape by Mark Twain. They're fun for everyone. We also listened to Uncle Tom's Cabin last year. If you haven't done this as a family, I think you absolutely should do this together. :o) Oh, and Fahrenheit 451 is a very important book. Why not try to listen to the entire Old Testament this school year? There's some great literature there. How's that for a suggestion?
My Sister's Keeper or The Pact by Jodi Picoult, anything by Terry Pratchett (even if you're not crazy about fantasy books...) White Oleander by Janet Fitch and Behond the Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson... I love it when people give me book suggestions!
I've been reading "Have a New Kid by Friday". I think it has an audio version which I might should've gotten too. Not doing everything like that, but working that direction. Interesting stuff.

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson is a must-read! Surprised noone mentioned it! My book club loved it! Happy reading! I love to read. I keep trying to figure out how you can make your day a little easier. Can noone ride the bus?
Hands down it is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

If you want good, light-hearted material then I highly suggest the "At Home in Mitford" series.
