HOME at last! :)

Everybody arrived safely at last, although they missed their Chicago connection and had to catch a later flight, arriving waaayyyyyy past everyone's bedtime at 11:00pm. We had an amazing welcoming crowd, even so late at night. Thank you all. We kept the kids up and woke Ava  from her sleep but she was quite a trooper about it. The kids did so well on the flight. John was so thankful for the help of Liesel and Heather on the flights. There were a couple of potty accidents but other than that the kids were joyful and delightful and obedient, for the most part (or so I was told).

The kids were all so happy to meet each other. Simeon said it would have been the best birthday present ever, if it would have been his birthday. :) How sweet. Jude's dream has come true. Hope has a new best friend. Ava is totally indifferent. :) Liesel is glad to be home and I'm glad to have her. Joseph cried a little at bedtime, I'm sure he is totally confused. Only Papa could console him. Zoya sang herself to sleep and grinned very big when I kissed her goodnight. I think she is happy to have a mama.

So many stories to tell, but they will have to wait. For now here are a couple of photos. Good night.

Praise the Lord. There is nothing more incredible than seeing them in their beds and hearing tales of the love of siblings and family. Love you sweet friend.

  6. AAaaahhh. Journey of many prayers and much effort completed. All can rest from the months of uncertainty, waiting, and "battling" for the best life for these precious, blessed children. Accomplished. Their peaceful little bodies tucked in (and Zoya with her fingers in her mouth) say it all. Rest. You are home. So, so, so many celebrate with your whole family, Charissa. The fun begins!
