Look what Zoya won this week! Her very OWN iPad! A BIG thank you to Heather and Mission iPossible for selecting her, and for the gift of communication. We are so excited about it opening a new world to her! We are still in the process of getting it figured out. If anyone has any great communication/learning apps that they have discovered, please share!

Yippee! Love the case, too!
That's wonderful!
For a communication app, I'd recommend Proloquo2Go or it's slightly cheaper "cousin" Sono Flex
or maybe Tap Speak Choice. Or if you need a simpler yes/no program, we've used iComm, the full app is less than $10.
Other apps that are loved in our house are Peekaboo! Guess Who?, Peekaboo barn, Sparkabilities and Alpha Baby, Wood puzzle app and Amazing shape puzzle as well as Animal Feeding Fun and Cake doodle. Some of them might be a little "young" for Zoya.
Youtube is a great place to check out apps you're not sure of, there are lots of reviews.
I would also recommend all apps by Duck Duck Moose, they have great educational apps; eg. for letters, math, storytelling. My daughter's fave is Fish School.
This is wonderful!!! Zech just got an iPad and we are working with articulation on it. There are not any games on it, just learning ones. I have heard a lot of good reviews on Proloquo2go. There are a lot of spelling and learning apps. There is a group on Pinterest called PediaStaff. They have a lot of great tools for learning and always recommend apps.
I saw a Facebook Video that an Ipad is a pretty good chopping block.

Gasp!!
Look at this little lady! Charissa, she is really growing! And her beautiful little face is changing and beginning to mature a bit. She's lovely! (as she always has been). How many inches has she grown?
I am so excited for her and you all to see how this iPad enables her to go even farther. What a wonderful gift iPossible is doing to give such a powerful tool to ones who need some assistance. Please do keep us posted as to how she uses it.
My heart to you all.

Hi Charissa, We love Proloquo2go, it has worked well for us, though its not cheap. Worth every penny though bc Iza has really taken to it. We also love the First Words deluxe app for spelling, Sam likes to play fish school and their is a tangrams app that they both love that I can't remember the name of. So happy you were able to get the Ipad for Zoya! How exciting :)
Tozzle & little writer!
Icommunicate is great. So is the yes/no app and it's 99 cents. You can put two pics of anything on it for kiddo to choose. Proloquo is hard to master for little ones w ds.
