But she's awfully cute, isn't she?

I can relate. I would have to add digging holes in the back yard. We have two little dogs and 1 big one. The big one is always getting into trouble, but she looks so cute when she is asleep. lol.

I wonder if it's the sugar in their dog food that makes them hyperactive.

Ok, really...I'm not laughing. snicker. Now about that tick...go to the vet and buy some Frontliine. No more ticks! And then, email me privately and I'll help you with the chewing. The dead bird? Sorry...I have 4 dogs and they're into rabbits right now. LOL

I can relate... should post some pics on my blog of the "fun" they have had in my house. Don't have the tick issue though, we use frontline and haven't had the fun of finding a huge monster like that *yuck* Dead chicken? Check. Dead Rabbit? Check. Dead Snake? Check.... Pretty disgusting...

We use Frontline also and don't have a tick or flea problem.

Such a sweet looking dog couldn't possibly have done all that! Annoying as dogs are, I choose to place my value in living beings and not inanimate objects. Yes, my house is messier and more beat up looking than some, but we have more fun! And, a snuggle on the couch after a bad day beats almost everything else.

PS - Hurt my kid, now that's another story.

You need flea and tick prevention. We used to use Frontline and the vet gave us something different last time, can't remember the name, but 2 dogs for 3 yrs and NO ticks.

Chewing, you can try some sour apple spray on stuff and they are supposed to leave it alone. However, if you give them bones and other toys they might leave the good things alone.

Not sure about the birds/chickens. It is part of their nature, but surely there is a way.

Wow! That is one HUGE tick!
We have had the same problem with the chicks... sadly - we have lost about 15 so far in the last 2 months... She drives me NUTS! Funny - she leaves the big chickens alone... must think that the little ones are some sort of squeaky toy!

How is your cow??

Oh no Amy! The cow is doing great! Easiest pet I ever had. I asked the vet about keeping the dog from eating the chickens. He suggested putting an "invisible" fence around the chicken pen to keep him away. We might try it.
