We have been waiting on the IEP Meeting, which was finally scheduled for yesterday. (For those who don't know, an IEP is an Individualized Education Plan, for students who require special ed or extra services). She tested very low developmentally and academically so it was determined she will start out in special ed classes primarily, but will spend 1/3 of her day with typical kindergartners (lunch, recess, computer, PE, calendar/circle time, and music). In the typical class, she has Hope's teacher, and in special ed, she has Joseph's. She was soooooooo excited!
It was about 10 degrees out here, thus the red noses and panicked expression on Joseph's face. I am quite sure his nannies would never have allowed him to go outside in that kind of weather.
I'm sure you are wondering how her first day of school was......
The below picture of the progress reports from Mrs. Riggs will say it all! Let's just say Zoya got a ride on the dirt bike while Joseph watched!

Way to go Zoya!!! She is so clearly proud of herself to be joining her brother and sister at school!! Oh the grand things God has in store for her! And I love the happy/sad faces!

OH yay for Zoya!! I am going to miss her smiling face on Mondays though :( She is going to love being with the other kids though and so cool that she is in siblings classes...handy having so many Kindergartners ;o)
So glad she had a great first day of school. It's even better that she's able to share it with her brother & sister. You couldn't say that just a few short months ago. She's come a long way...baby!

Happy times. So excited for Zoya and a bit bummed for Joseph. Sawyer would probably come home with the frown 4 days out of 5. On the 5th day, he'd make up for it because he knows he can only go to the grocery with mom if he gets a good report.

So happy for sweet Zoya. How wonderful to have siblings in her classes as well. Her big day finally came, how wonderful is that!! Oh, and the frown for Joseph...not fair, he's an angel and no frown report will convince me otherwise :)
So proud of miss Zoya! What a great mile stone, first gaining weight and now school! Can't wait to see how much she blossoms!
