Bald IS beautiful!
I have been agonizing for weeks as I have watched Ava's hair fall out piece by piece. For all this time I have been able to still pull it up into a tiny whale spout on top of her head, but it has gotten to where there is not even enough for that anymore.
I cried before, during, and then had a big cry after it was done, but now that I have finally brought myself to do it, I really think she looks perfect!
And in case you are wondering how a mother could possibly shave her little girl's hair completely off, maybe this "before" picture will explain....

She is adorable with or without hair :)
I think her "after" picture brings out her big beautiful eyes.
I agree, bald is beautiful! She looks adorable!
(((HUGS))) I know that was hard for you and will probably continue to be... But she is beautiful no matter what... and I think she just might be sporting some cute sun bonnets in the summer time instead of a whale spout :)
AH! she looks so cute!!! Just think of all the time you will save not putting her hair up in piggies, and all the adorable hats and head bands you can buy!! Not that I think you should cover her cute little que ball head up but I just LOVE cute little hats!
She is gorgeous no matter what. And being bald brings out her beautiful features. I imagine that was really really tough to do. HUGS to you.
Oh Charissa, how hard I know that must have been for you. But she really is a swwet pumpkin no matter what!
Although I'm sure this has been very hard for you, Charissa, she looks beautiful!! I think she may start a new trend. ;) You're right, bald IS beautiful!
She is just beautiful with hair and without. I can imagine it was hard for you to do, but what a beautiful result!!
She is beautiful! I know that was probably very hard to do!
With such beautiful eyes, who needs hair!!!
Bald is beautiful. She has such a nicely shaped head too. And yes it does bring out her big beautiful eyes.
This is Joyce. I can only imagine how hard that was for you. It's letting go of something that we have been conditioned to expect to be there. I know I cried long and hard when Sarah was starting to loose hers, so please do not feel bad. Ava is adorable no matter what.
That must have been so difficult to decide. But wow! I love it.
She's beautiful! My 3 yr old nephew has alopecia, and I think he is more adorable than his identical twin brother!
she's sweet and beautiful!!!
Her beauty inside and out will always outshine her lack of hair, but I know how heartbreaking it must be anyway. (((Hugs)))
Ava's beauty doesnt come from her hair
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
Ava's grace come from GOD!
She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Ava is so precious!
She's Beautiful! Simply beautiful!
And you are a beautiful momma for all the love you are pouring into her! She will always know she is beautiful and loved because of YOU!
Bless her heart, she is a beauty!

Wow, that must have been so hard to do, but she does look beautiful. Like I said on your facebook picture, she has big beautiful blue eyes. Maybe no one will notice no hair. And have you seen the hats out there, they are so cute. She is beautiful w/ or w/o hair. And she has a wonderful family to love her no matter what.
Bald IS beautiful! And I absolutely love how her gorgeous eyes just pop! I had a roommate in college who had alopecia and she is absolutely the most beautiful person I have ever met. She wore wigs most of the time and I was always so jealous of the fact that she never had a bad hair day and that she could change the color or style of her hair every single day if she wanted to (not to mention the fact that she never had to shave or pluck her eyebrows. I can't wait to see Miss Ava is some cute hats and headbands! Just look at it as the perfect opportunity to accessorize!
Look at those gorgeous eyes of hers! Charissa, try this website for really cute headbands with these adorable flowers on them:http://www.caryhairbows.com/. They would look so cute on Ava's sweet little noggin :o) I read a blog called Kelleys Corner, and her little one wears them too!
Ava is beautiful, Charissa :o)
Hugs,
Michelle
I like bald.
She is beautiful and it does bring out her eyes.

I dyed my hair with henna last week and something went terribly wrong. I have officially ruined my hair. It is so dry and brittle and I can't seem to brush it at all. For the last week or so I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue and nothing is working. I woke up this morning and was tempted to either Shave my head or go get dreadlocks professionally done. You have now given me a little more inspiration to shave.
When my son, Ethan, lost his hair from chemo, I lost it. He was born needing a haircut! I think that the loss of his hair made everything so real- too real. It was one of the hardest things for me to get over.
Ava is beautiful, indeed!
Ava looks just beautiful, Charissa! For years I secretly wanted to shave my head, but never had the guts to do it. I do think bald is beautiful. It was a good decision, although I know it was tough.

You rock!
Ava is way more beautiful than any of the other photos you put up. She truly has such a beautiful face and inner beauty that just shines through, she's perfect.
Ava is just beautiful!!!
Hello! I happened upon your blog and posts about your beautiful Ava. Please stop by my recent blog post. I would be honored to send a small care package to your sweetie. I think I have fallen in love with this precious child--easy to do! She is darling! I was hoping you could email me through my blog, if interested, so I might be able to ship the package out in the next week. It would bless me so! Thank you! :o)
Shannon
P.S. I hope it is ok that I used one of Ava's pictures. Please let me know if it is not.
