Because DHS deems we have too many children in our home to provide foster care, I have to live vicariously through my sister Marlita, who is a foster parent.

(To DHS I quote Mother Teresa: How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.)

Ava and I thoroughly enjoyed babysitting my newest little foster nephew, "K" over the weekend. Ava was fascinated by his little toes, his fingers.......

....and his pacifier.....

And I by this amazing head of hair.....

Don't you worry. I am going to see what can be done about this too many children thing. I have my hopes set high Charissa!

I cannot wait to meet you on Tuesday. I am beyond giddy about it.

Also, remember when we chatted on fb about my friend adopting a little girl with Down Syndrome? Well, she has her! Papers are signed and they have their sweet Joy! Ends up they did use that friend that you knew. Look at all the DS connections you have!

You have too many kids to provide a loving, stable environment for a child that has no one????? THAT makes absolutely no sense!!!!!

Thanks for letting us have a date night, and thanks for loving on our babies!

Isn't it ridiculous that our home is not "good" enough for these children? LOL, as if the children haven't suffered enough--- sharing a room with 2 other kids might just kill them -- right? Give me a break! This is why we adopted internationally and through a disruption-- no so such laws apply.

Oh I LOVE that quote!!!

I think here in the CO, the maximum number of kids you can have to adopt/foster domestically is 8. It must differ in every state.

Gorgeous pics :)
