Dreaming...

I'm dreaming of.....
......tomato basil soup, fresh garden salsa, corn on the cob, BLTs, blackberry cobbler, buttery garlic potatoes, homemade pizza (ooh, and don't forget farm fresh scrambled eggs!) Can I entice any summer visitors?

Hello! HELLO! I feel like we are long lost soul mates. I mean just with our shared passion for children. I would give anything to just sit and chat and share coffee and thoughts. I am already researching for you about your question regarding bigger families. That's a great idea to do a post on how you can adopt in OK. We started our blog first because we are trying to amend a law regarding relinquishing rights when placing a child for adoption, but it turned into much more. We really and truly want to be a safe place for promoting OK adoption and foster care. Not that we have anything against international, but we know nothing about it.

BTW, those pictures are beautiful. I am so jealous as I cannot keep anything alive unless it can cry at me or tell me it needs food and water! HA!

So, we are usually free on Weds and Fridays. FYI. Looks like some yummy garden treats. Basil looked delicious.

Yum! I have read your blog for a long time now, but first time commenting, I think...lol anyways, how do you keep pests away from your garden? granted we live in the city, but we are growing zucchini and tomatoes and we had 5 tomatoes and we are down to 2 and a dead plant because of squirrels, and now there are holes in the leaves on the zucchini plants...any tips? you have a beautiful garden!! :)

Ashley,
Thanks for commenting. Actually I have no idea about the bugs. I just don't think the bugs have hit here yet. John and the kids take care of most of the gardening. I just help pull weeds periodically. But I think they're doing a great job, whatever they are doing!

Tell Ashley to plant Marigolds between her tomato plants. ;o)

We have some fresh basil in our garden, and I found this insanely amazing bruschetta recipe that will pair nicely with the fresh tomatoes, onions and basil! I need to learn to grow garlic!

Well...our gardden in puny compared to yours, but it's about as much as I can hanldle!
