Santa's Tall Order

Rumor has it that Santa Claus is supposed to show up at the Down Syndrome Christmas party tomorrow morning. When I told this to Hope, she ran around looking for a piece of paper and pencil, then sat down to write him a 'note' that she wants to hand-deliver to him.

Pencil in hand, she asked, "Mommy, how do you spell 'watch'?"
W-A-T-C-H

"Mommy, how do you spell 'swimming pool'?"
S-W-I-M-M-I-N-G-P-O-O-L

"Mommy, how do you spell 'orphan'?"
O-R-P-H-A-N

UH-OH!!!

oh my goodness, I'm trying not to wake up my husband, but I'm laughing too hard.
I love that girl.

Wow, that is something else. I'm sure she has been over hearing other conversations, children LEARN values. Robin posted at 4:40 a.m. She must be delivering bread for Oroweat.

I like the way she thinks. I want an orphan for christmas, too. And I could use a new watch and who doesn't want a swimming pool. That's just what your farm needs.

I actually asked my husband for an orphan for Christmas today as I was looking at the Angel Tree. He jokingly said, "Wow! That one's only $150!?" I wish!

By the way...asking Santa is no big deal, but you better watch out if she starts asking God!!!
