Yulia adoption grant-Win my digital camera with video!

This is Yulia. She is a little 4 yr. old orphan girl who wants nothing more than a family to love her! Please consider helping her by contributing towards her adoption fund. She has Down Syndrome, and will soon be transferred to the mental institution unless she is adopted. Please help me spread the word about her.
A name will be added to the hat for every $10 chip-in donation made. On March 1st Ava will pull a name out of the hat and the youngest reader in my family will announce the winner of my digital camera....via blog video. (Don't feel too badly for me. I have been thinking of upgrading and this will be my motivation to finally do it.)

I made a button linking to this post. I will add the code to my latest post. Let me know if there are any changes that you would like me to make and I would be happy to do that.

I will definitely donate! We adopted our now 3 year old son from Ukraine in 2007 and he is special needs, he has CP. We are currently in the process of going back to get a little girl we met while there named Inna. She is also special needs and was moved to an institution earlier this year. It breaks my heart to know that all those sweet babies that were in my son's room will end up there. Ava is beautiful! May God continue to bless your family!

Thank you for doing this for Yulia. I hope you raise a lot of money and it helps her find her forever family.

And an additional Reece's Rainbow child to consider:

Marina, who turned four last December, is now listed on Reece's Rainbow as being in imminent danger of being sent to the institution.

Marina was my "Christmas child". She is presently well-cared for, very healthy, happy, high-functioning, ambulatory, feeds herself, tries to dress herself, and is as cute as she can be, chubby(!)with wavy brown hair, a round face, a sweet smile, and big brown eyes. She is in Ukraine, and Reece's Rainbow offers a substantial grant to help bring her home.

I wish Ukraine's new laws didn't prevent me from adopting, but I am single and have "aged out", according to them.

Please consider Marina, too, if Yulia can't be your child...See Reece's Rainbow for more info.

Thanks, Charissa, for letting me "tag onto" your blog to advocate for Marina's sake, since I don't have a blog of my own. Since so many people read your blog, I hope the right families will learn about and decide to adopt both these little girls as a result. Their need is urgent.

I hope all of the children listed with Reece's Rainbow, especially Yulia and Marina, can come home to loving families of their very own.

They are so deserving, and so innocent...

Best wishes,
Susan in Ky

we have always considered adoption of a ds/special needs child, but it all just seems so overwhelming! Especially the financial requirements and the home visits, etc. We have 3 of our own, but my husband always says "we rent and we don't have alot of money, they won't approve us!" I think that all things are possible with God. My heart goes out to Yulia, and all of those kids that have no mommies or daddies.....

I share a love/hate relationship with digital memory because of how prices are always falling. I absolutely hate buying Micro SD Cards for my R4 / R4i at (what seems to be) a bargain price only to see it become 10% cheaper a few weeks later.
