Hope wants to be an artist, a ballerina, and an ice skater when she grows up......so it was no surprise that she picked ice skating for her birthday party activity. Never mind that most of the guests were 4 and 5 years old and had never been skating much less ice skating before.
Here she is, in her very first (free) ice skating lesson
Couples' skate.....
This face should have been my first clue that it was time to pack up and head home early. She didn't want to cancel her birthday party of course. Why else would she have insisted that she was feeling great this morning before we left.
The cold air aggravated her cough, and in trying to warm her air passageway under a blanket, I ended up getting puked on.
I didn't mind. These are the things that make memories, and these are the stories that I'll tell my future sons- and daughters-in-law someday.

Hope she had a great day skating. That is such a sad little face!
And I'm curious, do kids not need to wear helmets on the ice. It's mandatory here, and for adults too I believe.
I've never seen anyone with a helmet here. That is very interesting....
Poor Hope! Here's wishing her to feel better soon!
So sorry she got sick at her party. I hope the rest of it went ok. Happy Birthday Hope, and hope you feel better.
Poor spunky little Hope, oh I how I adore this girl! I hope she gets better very soon!
That sad little face with the little cupcake :(
